Family Ties

So many wonderful things have happened since I last wrote in this blog! Spring has come and gone and summer is here and with it- all the wonderful "family" happenings of this year. First we had Peter's graduation at Clemson! Then to be married to such a wonderful girl as Ellen with so many family there to enjoy it. Thanks to Libbi I was able to enjoy her family for those days prior to the wedding! It was great being with LaNelle and Steven and Andrew, they live out west and we don't get to see them as much! And I was excited to see my Katie bug! And Jared, Kristin and my cute Chloe!

Now, there is soon to be a baptism, congratulations, Ellen, we are all so excited! The first time I saw you I was so impressed with your honesty! An honest heart is what the Lord loves!

I just sat and marveled at all my beautiful children and grandchildren and great-grand babies! How grateful I am to have lived to see so many, and I hope to see many more! Heather and Beth with the redheads just thrills my soul! I was so afraid that I would not live to see a redhead!

We then had a wonderful week at the beach(thank you Kim for letting us stay with you and Bishop Edwards and my precious David!) Floyd and Laurel treated us to the Japanese steak house and thank you Jeff and Jean for having us at the campsite!

Now we await Jacob and Brittany's wedding and again we will see lots of family and feel such joy as they go to the Temple! Gramps and I have loved being able to watch this romance unfold. Jacob reminds me so much of Jean when she found Jeff!

I am blessed beyond anything I could ever expected, surely my cup runneth over, but I could not think of blessings without thinking of how Michael will soon be passing the Sacrament and how grateful we are for this blessing in our life!

At each of these family gatherings, as I look around with such thankfulness, I seem to feel a little tug at my heart and hear a little whisper "I go with you Grandma" and I know one day I will whisper "I go with you, Noah" but until that that day I pray the Lord will give Gramps and I the joy of continuing to take part in all your lives. I love you, each one! What an honor to have such a wonderful family here on earth and in Heaven too!!
